Le switch DGS1008P permet aux utilisateurs de connecter des périphériques (points d’accès sans fil, caméras IP et téléphones IP …) et de les alimenter facilement par le biais des câbles réseau standard. Quatre des huit ports du switch prennent en charge la technologie PoE selon la norme IEEE 802.3af. Chaque port peut délivrer un maximum de 30W, pour une consommation PoE totale de 68 watts : les utilisateurs peuvent se servir de leurs périphériques compatibles 802.3af/at sans les relier à une source d’alimentation supplémentaire.
